Pre-School Manager – East Leake, Nottinghamshire

East Leake Pre-School Playgroup

We are seeking a passionate, experienced and dedicated leader to join our lovely playgroup. We are a caring, supportive and child-focused charity-run setting. We offer a welcoming and safe play environment where children are happy, engaged and join in with much enthusiasm.  This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to lead our team of creative and committed practitioners to the next step in our development.  We also offer the fantastic opportunity to work Nottinghamshire term time only.

Purpose of the Role

  • To provide safe, high quality education and care for early years children
  • To fulfil legal and statutory requirements
  • To lead and manage staff on a day-to-day basis
  • To contribute to and to implement early years policies
  • To ensure that all statutory, legal and setting obligations are followed and met

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a minimum of Level 3 early years education and childcare qualification or equivalent
  • Have at least two years’ proven experience of working in an early years care and education setting or at least two years’ other suitable experience
  • Have experience of leading or managing a team of adults
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly; both written and verbally
  • Have the ability to act on own initiative, execute change and get things done
  • Exhibit excellent time management skills
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team
  • Possess the ability to build a rapport with adults and children alike

Hours per week: 37 hours 15 minutes

Weeks per year:  39
