Nursery Manager - Centro Infantil Menchú

Reports to: Latin American House Director
Hours per Week: 40 hours (applications from those interested in 35 or 37.5hrs/wk may be considered)
Contract: Permanent, starting 31 August 2021
Salary: £29,112 - £31,800 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
Pension: Government Workplace NEST Pension Scheme 5% contribution
Responsible for: A small team made up of four nursery nurses, a lunchtime assistant, a cleaner and volunteers.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a nursery manager to join a small and established team in the Latin American House’s nursery Centro Infantil Menchú.

The Nursery Manager will be responsible for all aspects of managing and running the nursery, leading it to maintain high quality standards, compliance with Health & Safety regulations and Ofsted requirements. The Manager will also be responsible for managing and developing a small team, marketing, organisational development and budgeting.

The ideal Nursery manager will be bilingual in Spanish and English and will hold the following qualifications and experience:

  • Level 3 in Early Years or Childcare as a minimum, ideally will hold Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), Early Years Professional Status (EYPS), Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or will have a degree in Early Years Education.
  • Experience in managing a nursery and leadership skills to be able to manage a small team of nursery practitioners, plus some volunteers and students in work placement.
  • Passionate about educating young children and teaching Spanish, and will be eager to constantly grow as a professional.

The starting date for this role is the 31st of August 2021, with a handover week at the end of July. Interviews will be held on the 5th, 6th, and 7th July.
