We are looking for someone to join our vibrant Day Nursery as a full time, qualified, member of staff as soon as possible.

Our Day Nursery offers integrated childcare and education for children 3 months to 5 years.  We provide our children with a high standard of physical, emotional and social care in the Day Nursery.

If you are currently a level 2 practitioner working towards your level 3 qualification we would welcome hearing from you.  Solid experience is required for this qualified post together with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.  You will need to be able to present a caring and professional image while also being able to skip round the garden in a silly hat!

Please note that it is not a school term time job.

This role is for 36 hours per week throughout the year.  The Day Nursery staff all work shift patterns between 7.30 am and 6.15 pm comprising two 9 hour day shifts and 3 short day shifts of 6 hours on a rota pattern across Monday – Friday.  Continuing professional development is encouraged and supported.

Our Day Nursery stands within Epsom Downs Primary School & Children’s Centre and as such has the use of a wide range of outstanding facilities.  The Day Nursery is purpose built, bright and very well resourced.  There is access to outside play areas equipped to the highest standard, a small farm, dedicated off site Nature World, music room, library and even an indoor and outdoor beach!

Epsom Downs is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.  We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. It is a requirement for the successful applicant to undertake an Enhanced DBS check and accept the responsibility for safeguarding the welfare of all pupils and children.

Epsom Downs is an equal opportunities employer, selecting staff on merit, irrespective of race, sex, disability or age.

Please contact Patricia Keysell, our Day Nursery Manager, on 01737 850517 with any queries you may have or for further information.
