Experience required:

• Minimum 2 years ‘post qualification experience
• Previous senior, deputy or nursery manager experience
• Level 3 in Childcare and Education or higher
• Showcase high quality practice
• Experienced, passionate, looking for progression, caring, friendly, enthusiastic, forward-thinking and ready to take the next step in your career.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Excellent time management
• Exceptional organisational and leadership skills
• Experience in managing a team of staff.
• 12-hour First Aid valid Certificate
• Appraisal, supervisory and induction training

The role:

• Recruiting, training and managing all staff: ensuring a positive and productive work environment where staff feel valued and supported
• Ensuring all regulatory standard are met and high standards across all aspects of the nursery’s work are maintained
• Working with senior personnel across the organisation to make a positive contribution to senior team meetings to ensure the continued success of the organisation
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of all children attending the nursery
• Work closely with parents and carers, canvassing and valuing their views and opinions.
• Provide regular and accurate reports on nursery occupancy and future forecasting
• Oversee the care and education of all children to ensure it is of the very highest standards
• Remaining up to date with all administrative tasks necessary for the smooth and safe running of the nursery.
