Nursery Practitioner - Community Vision Nursery in Penge
We are looking for a Nursery Practitioner to join our Community Vision Nursery in Penge. This post you will be working 36 hours per week all year (51 weeks).
Applicants with a full and recognised Level 3 qualification in Childcare /Early Years would be preferred. However, consideration will also be given to applicants who have a valid Early Years level 2 qualification and are willing to work towards a level 3.
Please note that for level 3 the pay scale is BR5 and for a Level 2 the pay scale is BR4.
We will also consider an unqualified candidate, with experience, who is willing to train and gain a level three. Unqualified candidates must be able to evidence working or volunteering with children under the age of five years. The pay scale for an unqualified candidate is BR3.
You will be part of a team providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years of age. You will have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and be able to plan suitable activities for children of different ages and abilities.
You will need good communication skills to work with the children to develop their own language and to communicate effectively with parents, colleagues and other professionals.
The successful applicant will be subject to a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure and checks regarding proof of ID, medical clearance and the right to work in the UK.
This full time post, of 36 hours per week, working a shift rota between the hours between 7.45 am and 6.15 pm. The nursery closes for one week over Christmas.
The salary offered is as follows:
Level 3 in Early Years and Childcare qualified: BR5 grade, salary range of £21,237 - £22,525.
Level 2 in Early Years and Childcare qualified: BR4 grade, salary range of £20,875 - £21,237.
Unqualified but experienced: BR3 grade, salary range of £20,297 - £20,085.
