Early Years Leader

Required November 2021

Applications are invited for the role of Early Years Leader at Ruspini House. This is an ideal opportunity for a highly qualified professional to be part of an excellent and well-established Pre-School that extends the RMS experience to children aged 2-4.

We are a small, friendly, caring community within the larger RMS family, guided by the same inclusive and nurturing ethos. RMS is a leading independent girls’ day/boarding School with around 1000 day and boarding pupils aged 2 to 18, over 350 teaching and support staff and situated on a 200-acre parkland site near Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire.

At Ruspini House we provide a safe, secure environment that is rich and stimulating where all children can develop to become curious, independent learners.  We strive to be a beacon of excellence in early year’s provision, prioritising three key ingredients, highly trained staff, an enabling well-resourced environment, and a balance between child and teacher-led learning. Our highly qualified team offers each child exemplary care and exciting learning opportunities.

As an Early Years Leader you will be responsible for one of our pre-school classrooms and have overall responsibility for the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage, as well as well as supervision of staff within that room. In addition you will be required to help co-ordinate and be part of the Early Club, Late Club and Holiday Camps.  We are seeking an Early Years graduate, or a level 3 with at least two years management experience. Your usual working hours will be Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm.

Benefits include;

  • Staff Pension Scheme
  • Free lunches when the School’s catering facilities are open (term time only)
  • Preferential rate of membership with onsite Nuffield Health Gym
  • Staff fee remission subject to terms and conditions of policy
  • Wide range of CPD opportunities
  • 30 days holiday per year plus bank holidays (please note that Ruspini House is closed each half term therefore contracts are 49 weeks per year)
  • Pay scale from R16 (£12.98 per hour) depending on qualifications and experience

Potential candidates are strongly encouraged to phone Ruspini House, 01923 725316 to arrange a visit and learn more about the role. Information on our social media pages and school website www.rmsforgirls.org.uk will give you a flavour of life day to day.

Further details and the application pack may be obtained from the website. Please note CVs are not accepted. Completed applications only and any enquiries should be addressed to Miss Tyler Lawton on 01923 725312 or tlawton@rmsforgirls.com.  Applications would be welcome as promptly as possible.

Closing date for applications: Monday 27th September by 9.00am

Interviews are likely to take place on 30th September 2021
