Nursery Manager

Working hours – 8am – 4.30pm Monday-Friday (Term time only)

Dandelions Nursery School is a small independent Nursery school for 20 children based in North-West London. We offer half day and full-day sessions for children aged from 2-5 years.

Overview

As we are a small Nursery school, the manager role involves a lovely, unique blend of being ‘office based’ as well as spending time with the children. The role is currently office-based over 5 mornings and 1 afternoon a week with the remaining time being spent as part of ratio with the children.

The manager will be responsible for inspiring and leading our five amazing practitioners and continuing to develop the close relationships that we have with our children and their families. They will oversee the planning and learning of our ‘pre-school’ group and ‘toddler group’ and ensure that the safety and wellbeing of our children is always of the highest standard.

The Nursery is co-owned by the current manager and deputy manager who understand the value (and challenges!) of promoting a rich learning environment, at the same time as ensuing that essential management tasks are completed. The owners will be on hand to support and advise where needed and will remain as part of the team throughout the induction process.  

Essential requirements

Level 3 childcare education or above

Experience in a deputy manager’s role/ manager’s role

Desirable requirements

Experienced in using Tapestry

Experience as a SENDCo

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 (dependant on experience)

Holidays: 8 weeks per academic year (to be taken when the Nursery is closed)
