Early Years Teaching Assistant
Location: Central London
Salary: £22,000 -£26,000
Start Date: September 2022
Arnold House School
The School was founded in 1905 in St John’s Wood. It is an independent preparatory school located in London NW8, for boys to the age of 13, and a member of IAPS (Independent Association of Prep Schools). In September 2021, an Early Years department opened its doors a short walk away, at Marlborough Place.
We are looking for a committed and caring Early Years Teaching Assistant (Maternity Cover) to join this new department of the School.
You will have a passion for working with children in the Early Years and an understanding of child development.
You will be one of six TAs responsible for supporting teachers to provide high standards of provision and pastoral care for the boys in this part of the School and for ensuring that boys are happy and settled in their first year at Arnold House. With guidance from the teacher, you will support the boys’ learning and when the time comes help prepare them for transition to Reception or Year 1. You will report to the Head of Early Years based in the Huxley Building at Marlborough Place.
The salary will be £22,000 - £26,000 dependent on qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include lunches during term-time, and school holidays taken as holidays with pay.
