Due to rapid growth, we are now looking for a Deputy Nursery Manager to join our Kids Planet Chris Abell Nursery, Cambridge. With more than 100 settings, Kids Planet Day Nurseries provides the highest standard of nursery care and education within a unique environment in which children are actively encouraged to explore, learn and interact with others.

This nursery has a lively setting with lots of creativity and has a team who are dedicated to the care of children. We are looking for an individual to provide a hands-on, fun, creative and an innovative environment for children.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

· Ensure that all children attending the setting are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development.

· Assist the manager in ensuring that all legislation in relation to Ofsted registration, special needs, safeguarding and Health and Safety is complied with and that company policies and procedures are adhered to.

· Working closely with the Nursery Manager and deputising in their absence.

· Understanding of recruitment and selection procedures

· Co-ordination of tasks and responsibilities and the ability to delegate where necessary

The ideal applicant:

· Must have experience working at Senior Level.

· Must be at least Level 3 qualified and have experience working at a senior level.

· Have a detailed understanding of the requirements set by Ofsted

· Experience of managing budgets

· An excellent knowledge of the EYFS and experience of working with children and families

· Experience of managing/supervising staff with extensive knowledge of Safeguarding

· Experience of Recruitment procedures

· Experience of working in partnership with parents and outside agencies.

· Able to demonstrate multi agency working and experience of leading staff meetings,

· Managing and maintaining administration requirements
