Job Title: Deputy Head of Schools

Salary Band: £32,000 - £38,000

Linden Tree Nursery Schools aim is to raise the profile of the Froebelian approach by creating a group of small Froebelian nursery schools that offer young children a quality early years’ experience which is delivered by knowledgeable and qualified educators. We develop the skills of our team members using individual training plans and maintain a nurturing environment for all our children and staff.

The Role

Working for the Head of Schools to ensure the smooth operation of our three nursery schools and assist to improve the quality of our service.

Main Areas of Responsibilities

  • To improve the quality of care and education across the company
  • To assist the Training team when working with the nursery teams to ensure daily delivery of high-quality early years practice following the EYFS and Froebelian approach
  • To assist the HOS in implementing the strategic vision of LTNS
  • To assist the HOS to recruit, manage and retain a staff team that can fulfil the strategic vision of LTNS and deputise for HOS when necessary
  • To assist the HOS to ensure Policies & Practices are fully implemented

Additional Duties

  • Cover Nursery Managers when required to do so
  • To work with the HOS and inspectors during Inspections by regulatory bodies and to assist in the implementation of any recommendations thereafter
  • To support the HOS to ensure current employment terms & conditions are relevant and amend / update as required.
  • Assist the HOS to implement compliant nursery systems.
  • Contribute to a marketing strategy which effectively promote the nursery schools including website, social media, open days, brochure ware, signage,
  • Devise content for social media and the website to best promote the company and Froebel values
  • To actively promote and support the safeguarding, equality and equity of all children in our care
  • Help to deliver an environment where childr en and staff recognise, value and respect diversity. This includes different cultures, re ligions, languages, disabilities, members of the

LGBTQ+ community and SEND and ensure that environments, resources and activities reflect this

  • Work to reduce and maintain a low carbon footprint and improve sustainability practices in all areas of the company

Requirements
NVQ3 and/or relevant degree
Minimum 2 years’ experience at management level, as well as Room Leader experience for 2 years
Expert in EYFS curriculum
Knowledge of statutory requirements including Ofsted, Employment law, health & safety and hygiene

Our team are comprised of highly qualified educators.

Our nursery schools are only registered for 32-43 children respectively to provide a homely learning environment for all. Which are furnished with high quality resources and outdoor gardens. We link with the local community and visit various parks, commons, libraries, museums, art galleries, elderly care homes as part of our continuous practice.

We register children from 6 months to 5 years of age. Bespoke and tailored activities provided in-house and not dependent on booking pattern.
