What you'll be doing

In the role of a Play Worker, you'll be an effective member of the Out of School Club team delivering a flexible, high quality, education and care centred service before and after school that meets the needs of children 3 months -12 years of age and their families and the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has a desire to work with children and can work flexibly to suit the needs of the setting.

You'll do this by:

  • Promoting good childcare practice in a professional, inclusive, and flexible manner.
  • Planning and taking part in play and leisure activities for children.
  • Caring for and supervising our children, making sure that they are safe and happy.
  • Thoroughly enjoying your role and making every day count for the children in our care.

What we need from you

In the role of a Play Worker, we're ideally looking for someone who has:

  • Desirable:  NVQ Level 2 in Childcare and Education or Playwork qualification.
  • First Aid qualification or ability to achieve.
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure Certificate or ability to achieve.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or ability to achieve.
  • A real passion to work with children and make a difference.
