Role: Play Worker 

Salary: £18,329 per annum pro rota

Contract/Hours: Permanent, part time working 27.5 hours per week

Term Time Hours: 7.30am - 9.30am & 3.30pm - 6pm  (School holiday Hours between - 7.30am - 6pm working on a rota to be discussed at interview) 

Location: Spring Oscars based at Spring RAF Waddington

What you'll be doing

In the role of a Play Worker  you'll be an effective member of the Out of School Club team delivering a flexible, high quality, education and care centred service before and after school (27.5 hours per week) that meets the needs of children 4-12 years of age and their families and the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage

This is a great opportunity for someone who has a desire to work with children and can work flexibly to suit the needs of the setting.

You'll do this by:

-Promoting good childcare practice in a professional, inclusive and flexible manner.

-Planning and taking part in play and leisure activities for children.

-Caring for and supervising our children, making sure that they are safe and happy.

-Thoroughly enjoying your role and making every day count for the children in our care.

What we need from you

In the role of a Play Worker, we're ideally looking for someone who has:

-Desirable:  NVQ Level 2 in Childcare and Education or Playwork qualification.

-First Aid qualification or ability to achieve.

-Enhanced DBS Disclosure Certificate or ability to achieve.

-Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or ability to achieve.

-A real passion to work with children and make a difference.
