Part Time, Term Time
Required September 2022
Applications are invited for the post of a Pre-School assistant at Ruspini House. Ruspini House is an outstanding nursery within the larger RMS family, guided by the same inclusive and nurturing ethos. There are many advantages of being an EYFS setting within a whole school, particularly the enrichment opportunities and experiences we can offer. In terms of practice we follow a child centred approach, planning from children’s interests and assessment to encourage curious, persistent and independent learners.
In this varied role, reporting to the Head of Ruspini House, you will be required to assist setting up the dining hall and in the serving and clearing up over the lunch time period. This includes helping to put the children to sleep and caring for their personal cleanliness.
Lunch is a social time and an opportunity to develop children’s personal social and emotional development, independence and language skills. During the afternoon you will be classroom based, supporting children’s learning, preparing materials and assisting teaching staff in providing a stimulating learning environment. From 4:00pm you will assist with the organisation and running of the After School Tea and Late Clubs, serving and clearing up from tea, providing interesting and stimulating activities for the children and liaising with parents at handover time.
- Part Time Permanent contract working 30 hours per week, term time (37 weeks a year).
- Your hours of work will be Monday to Friday, from 11.30am until 6.00pm with a daily 30 minute unpaid break
- The post holders pay on Ruspini House scales is R4 (£12,852) to R5 (£13,167) per annum depending on experience and qualifications
- Staff Pension Scheme
- Free lunches when the School’s catering facilities are open (term time only)
- Preferential rate of membership with onsite Nuffield Health Gym
- Access to an Employee Assistance Programme
