Ivy House Nursery is looking to appoint an Early Years Assistant for their highly successful co-educational nursery which was opened in September 2021.

The school-based nursery offers a stimulating curriculum using the EYFS framework to build knowledge, confidence and curiosity.

The school’s ethos combines high academic standards with strong pastoral care, and the aim of the nursery is to foster essential skills so that the children can progress seamlessly through to Reception. 

The school is looking to appoint a well-qualified and reflective practitioner who holds a Level 2 qualification or above. Experience is essential as well as an understanding of parental expectations in a private school setting. 

The successful candidate will work closely with the Early Years Lead Practitioner in maintaining the success of Ivy House Nursery. Above all, the person will be wholly committed to working as part of a large team to facilitate the best possible start for children in their care.

Job Purpose

This is a supportive role that involves working as part of the school team to provide a safe, high quality early years environment for young children. This role will be working under the direction of the Head and to give support to the teaching team within the nursery school, supporting the existing teaching team with routines and organisational matters and monitoring children’s safety through appropriate levels of supervision.
