Childcare Director Opportunity

Kids Planet provide the highest standard of nursery care and education across our settings within a unique environment in which children are actively encouraged to explore, learn and interact with others. With the ongoing growth of Kids Planet, we are delighted to announce we are looking to grow our operational director team. We are currently looking for a highly dedicated individual who would like the opportunity to take on the role as Childcare Director. The ideal applicant will be located within the Midlands to South area to support our ongoing growth as a group.

Our vision is to devise a clear geographical structure that ensures all regions have the dedicated support locally to ensure they continue to develop and grow.

Reporting to the Operations Director, your Objectives will include:

• Regional Safeguarding Lead for your regions.
• Supporting the group in continuing development and progress of all nurseries to 'Outstanding'.
• Overseeing and leading regions to ensure the delivery of all the Company's objectives and goals
• Regularly reviewing and monitoring occupancy levels to ensure they are maintained to maximum capacity and that ratio and conditions of registration are adhered to.
• Payroll responsibilities.
• Expenditure and procurement; monitoring budgets.
• Lead specific projects as agreed at Board level.

This is a full-time, permanent role. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday - flexibility is required. Each Childcare Director has a team of Area Managers as their direct reports who oversee individual regions. Each Area Manager would typically cover up to ten settings.

The role is varied and has a hybrid approach with both site visits, working from home as well as within the Head Office based in Lymm, Cheshire.

Typical Day to Day Activities:
• Visiting the settings within their Area Managers Regions
• Quality Assure the Operations and Quality across regions
• Co-ordinating acquisitions integration. Childcare Directors responsible for co-ordinating with Department Heads to ensure all operational aspects are integrated within acquisition sites.
• Specific project work related to progression and support for settings
• Detailed reporting of their regions directly linked with key objectives and KPI’s
• Regular reporting and meetings with both the Operations Director and the CEO.

Key skills and experience:
• We seek an experienced individual who at a minimum has operated successfully in an operational role, either as an Area/ Operations Manager or Operations Director.
• Background in Early Years with at least a relevant Level 3 qualification.
• Strong stakeholder management
• Ability to work as part of a team supporting both the Operational Childcare team and peer group • Flexibility with regard to working across all areas of the business
• Manage numerous activities across a number of projects simultaneously
• Extensive knowledge of Safeguarding
• Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle
